Hi everyone... Just purchased a Triton 351 CC with a hard top.. did not take delivery of it yet, but was wondering can I stand on the hard top to wheel and wax it? (im 200lbs)
Thanks

Colin, not a problem at all. I just sold mine last year and had it for seven years Stood on top of it regularly cleaning it and even climbed up on top of it while fishing in the golf stream for the better visibility On a regular basis Boat handled like a dream. Are you going to live it

Just out of curiosity, did the Triton boat company that still exists make the 351?

Nope but if I’m not mistaken, they sold the hull mold to another company. Not sure who..I never had any issues with the hull. You will find it to handle to handle extreamly well in rough seas.. Mine was equipped with twin Yamaha 350’s and I did find I needed to run quite a bit of tab when running 3800 rpm or less. At 4200 rpm and above didn’t need much tab. WOT was 60MPH with half tank of fuel.

Actually the company sold out a few years Back and I think some of their saltwater series were sold off to another manufacturer and some models discontinued. Upon restructuring their name is still out there but for smaller freshwater Boats.

Key west now has the 28 and 35 molds. It's their billistic series.

I am going to look at a 2009 351 next week. How do you like yours so far?

As for standing on the top, this one has a crowd nest so I would think the top is plenty strong enough.
