1999 Contender 31 Open Re fit
#1

I recently purchased a 31open from another member on the forum. After a 30hrs and about 1400miles we made it back home to swfl. The 300hpdis came off and sold, along with all electronics short of the auto pilot. The console is completely de rigged and ready to come off the boat. After much though I have decided to replace the tanks even though they are leaking yet. The rain has been constant for about 10days now, however as soon as I can get the cover off for some pictures I will get everyone up to speed. This should be a first class build with no expenses spared.

Awesome, looking forward to your report and pics. We bought ours in 2013 and have been working on it since lol. Done everything but the tanks, which we will probably replace after this grouper season. Not leaking, yet, but 20 years old... We went with Garmin, Fusion, and standard horizon for electronics and white 300 Zukes. Took her out today for a spin before the bad weather and had a smile the whole time. You will love it, great platform.

Well the hpdi's and old electronics are gone, the center console has been completely de rigged and removed. 3 new tanks will be ready for pick up on June 29th and the white Suzuki 300s will be installed around July 20th.

Yes the saddle tanks both have pinholes in some areas. Today I drove to medley,fl to pick up my new sunshine marine tanks. I will be working this weekend to prep the boat for tanks and glass.

The vessel is near completion and I will be water testing this weekend. I have ordered a pair of engines that will be here in the first quarter of the new year. In the mean time she will be sporting a pair of honda 225s. I will post pic once I pull the work shop down!
