54 mph in a heavy-ass old Proline 2950, light fuel and smooth water. twin 300 Zukes. I hate running that fast, but usually open her up on the way home as recommended by THT braintrust.

My last 5 boats WOT were as follows:

My current 1981 Carver 3007 Aft Cabin with twin 270 Crusaders inboards turning 18" dia by 18 pitch 4 blade props tops out at 25 MPH.

My last boat a 1999 Bayliner 3055 Ciera Sunbridge with twin 5,.7's 250 HP each turning Bravo II drives 17 1/2" dia 23 pitch 3 blade props topped out at 45 MPH.

1996 Bayliner 2855 Ciera Sunbridge with a 7.4 (454) mated to a Bravo III drive turning if I remember correctly 28 pitch dual props topped out at 51 MPH.

1996 Bayliner 2655 Ciera Sunbridge with a 5.7 (350) 220 HP mated to a Alpha 1 drive topped out at 39 MPH.

I see the majority of boats are designed to run mid to upper 40'swot .. Seems fast enough on most set ups.

22' Majek Xtreme, 250 SHO, no tabs, 36v trolling motor on the bow and 4 batteries in the center console. The fastest I've seen is 64 mph at 6100 RPM. I don't know how the tournament guys are seeing 70+ in their Majek's.

my last Pro Line was just a few months ago. 2004 22 Sport with a 2007 Opti 200..52 mph with a lot more left. I had to get a back rest made and installed before my wife would go back on it after throwing her over the leaning post twice when we first got it!

Yeah, kinda surprised too. I thought I was slow and now I see I am square in the pack. Really, I guess it makes sense unless you have a rather large boat it would be rare to be able to use that speed even in pretty good conditions.

1984 Nauset 35 Flybridge downeast, 17,000lb wet. Single mechanical CAT 3126 350hp, Twin Disc 1.50:1 gear turning a 21x19 Michigan Dynajet. She's a little underpropped and turns 2,900rpm at WOT and 21.2kts GPS (24mph).

Cruises at 16.5 - 17kts at 2,400 and 10gph. The nice part is that she's sturdy and efficient, and will chug along at 16kts in pretty much any seas I'm willing to be out in.
