Are you sure this ain't no Chinese copy or something? I mean it isn't May 22 yet and that is the day for the big news. Besides, I don't see no margarita machine either built into it. I heard that is the extreme part of it, ( rum sold separately and some assembly required)

If by chance this is for real. At close to 1,000 pounds for only 425 HP then Yamaha miss the mark big time.

The 5.3 weighs 200 pounds less. How does .3 bigger displacement weigh 200 pounds more.

Yamaha needs a diet.

Engine has nice lines, power, etc, but 950-1000 lbs. After this much time since the v8 350 launch, I would have expected same hp that weighed 750 lbs. Like when the v6 300hp came out lighter than the 3.3 250hp. Now that was amazing!!

952 lbs dry, FIVE fuel pumps and 2900 PSI of fuel pressure. OK who's going to be an early adopter?

Ha.

So... here's the deal.

1) I'll give them the ability to change lower unit fluid in-water. That's a gold star. (Albeit stolen from G2, LOL).

The rest? Too heavy and I'm certain too expensive, from a company that is coming off the corrosion and the flywheel issues.

Meh. Good luck.

5 fuel pumps and a DFI system producing 2900 PSI of fuel pressure would do it. Exactly what the Yamaha parts and service centers ordered.
