Default Onslow Bay 33TE Build

Received confirmation the hull started today. Super excited to get the boat up here in New England to chase BFT and get into some canyon trips. Will post pics as I get them. Struggled w/Simrad vs Raymarine, but I have had Ray and that's what I am use to with good results. Since it will reside in a slip, it will be bottom painted.

Going to be a nice looking boat.

if you are going gemlux poles, why not gemlux bases too? Get a free sunshade with the combo.

Awesome build! I would look at the Gemlux outrigger holders. A lot easier to set up than the Taco 280's. Especially when you have to stand on your gunnels to put them up and down. Gemlux all the way!

We are really looking forward to this boat. Inshore, offshore it is just a great fit. Struggled with twins vs trips but one ride on Brad's demo boat sealed my decision. I am not a speed freak, but having the safety of coming in on two motors if I lose one and the cruise #'s w/trips is awesome. In regard to the Taco vs Gemlux, I actually like the simplicity of the 280's also w/the boat slipped they usually be up.

Awesome Brother! I know youíve been chomping on the bit to get it started. Excellent choice on the 350ís. Hopefully you do a build thread. Haven seen a 33 thread in a while. So itís up to you or Albi who is right in line behind you.... Iím looking at end of May delivery for my 27. That 33 is a Beast. You will have your boat just in time for that run of huge bluefin..

Do yourself the Favor and go with the Gemlux. There is no comparison. I had the Taco 280s on last boat. The rigger gave way and swung to side, and that was fishing in the Bay. They did right thing by customer service, but on my new Onslow build it will be Gemlux. Itís not just about raising or lowering but the Gemlux is just a lot more heavy duty on how itís built w gearing and all. Check out some of the videos. You could never do that w a Taco. Go Gemlux on that new machine your building and donít look back.

I am right behind Green Machine, 2 boats behind to be exact, chomping at the bit as well. Looking forward to this build, it's been a long time coming.

The wait is the hardest part, but well worth it. Gives you a bit of time to make any changes if needed. I gotta tell ya, the option of those rear drop down legs from hardtop to seat w the extra rod holders look Badass. Think about it. I contemplated doing it on my 27 but it was too much going on. I did the lower rack up top but No drop down legs. But the 33 wants them! Did you wind up going w the Gemlux riggers?
Either way Gonna be a beast...

I love the rear legs on the 33, especially with the extra rod holders. No decision on the outrigger bases yet. I have a little time.
The wait is killing me. Sold my Regulator before the season last year and the OB won't be ready til August or later.

I spoke to Brad Monday regarding the est Delivery date of mine. If it helps you feel any better. He is anticipating finishing up a few Onslowís by end of this month, and getting them out to electronics. So hopefully that can free up some manpower and pump you and Albiís boats out..
and DoNot think twice about the Gemlux. The upgrade $ is a wash compared to the quality. I am actually gonna order a Gemlux center rigger. Nice thing is when Gore fabs the top, the center rod holder is angled down. Perfect to support that center rigger. Really no weight there since only 12í and carbon fiber.

Dammm. You coulda held on till the Reg through the summer. It would sell quick if you needed to.. same w/ Albi. He sold his 27 Onslow and like you waiting on the 33.
