Default High end bay boats

As my search begins for a new boat I thought I’d ask THT community which bay boat manufacturers do you consider high end?

The few I’ve come up with are below.

Barker
Yellowfin
See Vee
Dorado
Avenger
Sheaffer
Andros
Gause

I wouldn't leave Shearwater off the list, but you have a pretty good list.

Materials the boats are made from is possible all the same good or bad so you can pin that to workmanship !

Young Boats. Definitely top tie and mostly custom built. Look at the Young 24 gallery and you will see why I say this.

Personally I'd pull dorado and andros off that list and add shearwater, islamorada boatworks, hells bay estero, and the new east cape bay coming out

why are you so concerned what someone else’s opinion is? If you liked it, that is all that matters.

Grady White makes a couple nice bay boats called Coastal Explorers. They have a 25 footer. I have seen one at a dealer. It's very nice. I don't know how high end it is but it ain't cheaply priced.

I wouldnt put blackjack on this list.. I looked over both their 224 and 257 at the show and was not impressed.. not that its not a decent mid tier boat buts its no different than the sea hunts, sea pros etc..

I wouldn't add blackjack either. Looks like any production boat to me. My boat is parked 15 feet from the 22 footer at the storage facility.

I'm sure andros isn't a bad boat, I just don't find them to be in the same class as others mentioned.

I would put pathfinder in the high end production class. They have done a good job of finishing things nicely while producing a ton of them.

this might ruffle some feathers, but I looked over a yellowfin 26 hybrid and was disappointed in the finish. Starboard hatches in the back, screws everywhere. Well constructed but definitely had some cheap things to it, without the cheap price.

I haven't gotten to look at one, but check out bonefish boatworks. They have a 26 footer that looks pretty well finished. No experience with them though

From a Texan's perspective:

1) ESCB Revolution 25
2) Shallowsport X3
3) NewWater Ibis - More of a flat's boat
3) Majek Xtreme 22' and 25'
4) Haynie Magnum 23'
5) Pathfinder of all flavors.
6) Turner Boatworks for sure. Fine looking rigs

Thats been another issue for me. Higher end production vs custom. The build times have me really worried about custom since the Admiral and I really want to be on the water.

We looked at the Bonefish Movado 26 and Sabalo 27. Setting up sea trials on both for this coming week.
