Default Finalized Build of the Fast Skiff 14_LS

Hi Guys,

Here is Skiff Life's latest completed project, a Fast Skiff 14 Low Sheer design by Bateau.

This one was built using their "kit" option where the pieces arrive pre-cut from a CNC machine. This was ALOT easier to build and alleviated the stress of measuring and cutting.

We used marine plywood as the core material with epoxy and glass on both sides of the core fully encapsulating the skiff. We have the benefit of printing our own fishing decals so were able to do our own wrap for the hull.

You'll notice the hatches changed and a few different seating configurations on the skiff. The final seat is a livewell/cooler made from a Omaha steaks shipping cooler and wrapped in 1708 biaxial fiberglass and epoxy. It turned out great and is rock solid on the swivel base.

The skiff is rigged with a 20HP Tohatsu that easily pushed her into the 20's. Hull we estimate is 275 lbs. max. I've included a video of her being splashed below.

Here is a link with build pics and more photos of the completed project:

Nice little tiller skiff for skinny water! The cooler "seat" on a pedestal is pretty cool.

How's she run with the Tohatsu?

Nice build. How high is the sole above waterline? Any third person video of her running?
