These big boats are cool but $8 per mile is far from cool I don't care how rich you are. Motor companies need to step their game up. It makes no sense to just keep redesigning 300hp outboards, it's already been made. Make the 300hp more fuel efficient, like 10 miles per gallon on a 40ft boat. That's way more appealing to me.

The only brand you compliment is the manufacturer you currently own. Having owned 2 Seahunters and an Invincible, but repeatedly bashing them after selling them, I wouldn't be surprised if a few manufacturers didn't want your business.

that is not accurate....check last year's show re Prowler, and i have said good things about my previous Invincible 36 because it rode well. Both Seahunters were poor riding boats 10-12 or so years ago. This Seahunter cat it seems is not a reflection of those boats. And so i have complimented it. But i get it....you dont like my opinion. Fair enough.

Since I will never be able to afford these semi-custom monsters coming out .... I am curious who is going to compete in the "mid-tier" catamaran market 27-32ft, seems like Twin Vee is the only competition....

I do not know the answer to your question, but I am waiting to see otherwise I will continue my search for a properly priced used Prowler 246.

You got that other company, Seacat. They working on a 26.

If Twinvee will be our only option, god help us all.

East wood boats is making a 30 foot cat that from what I've read is reasonable priced and you can customize it to about whatever you want/afford. Going to look at it at the miami show

One thing I did notice in the videos, even in light seas, the bow is bouncing around quite a bit. It may need sandbags in the bow and a ballast system.
No need to pump it full of water, they have tabs. Sandbags lol...

Tell me why I'm wrong. Cat with flat tunnel compresses as the flow travels to the stern. Makes for a fast boat as the lift reduces weight/resistance on the water as speed increases (think Skater, Mystic, MTI etc..) When it bottoms out it goes boom like a flat bottom. Round tunnel ( Freeman/Aussie style) compresses as flow moves up with no flat to go boom. Just cushions it before it releases out the stern,

@2:06 it sure looks like it wanted to go it's own way over that wave in the following sea. Do all the Cats do that?

The bow looks strange from above. Like they chopped the nose off a monohull.
