No wonder you can't get a new Yamaha for a couple years.

In all fairness, after I took the bottom pic, I looked up and saw there was one boat behind my line of sight on the top row that did have twin G2 ETEC's. They must be from out of town

Oh woe is Yamaha. That is old news. Yamaha has gone into the toilets by now.

Looks like there are a few boat brands that did not force the boat buyer to get a Yamaha.

If 5% of the motors shown had a problem then it would be apparent that Yamaha's are not worth a damn because of all of the failure reports. 5% of a lot is a hellava lot more than 15% of next to nothing.

Sell nothing and there will be zero reported failures. THT adocates of the brand selling nothing will be touting its superiority given that Yamaha failures will be vastly greater than the nothing brand.

Anyone who bases their personal choices on the popularity of something is going to have a life full of disappointment.

Music, food, boat motors, and spouses are just a few examples where popularity will lead you astray - unless you actually want to be cruising around in an underpowered bowrider with a gray motor listening to Justin Timberlake and Nickelback with the girl everyone else already dated.

lol...I go to this marina almost every weekend. I don't see many folks with a " life full of disappointment."

This is just a dumb comment.
