Default 2003 Sea Fox Bay Boat - Whats it worth??

My father has a 2003 195 Sea Fox bay boat. It has a 2003 125 carbureted Mercury salt water series motor. It sits on a 2003 Magic Trail (I think) aluminum trailer. Everything is in what I would call great shape for the age. Motor runs great. Boat is stock, does have a custom made T-top that was done in 2005 or so. He and I have discussed selling it and move it up a couple times. Just curious how much it is worth and if it is even worth selling or just keeping. Also, sorry this is all in one paragraph. It would not let me separate for whatever reason.

Default sea fox

just the sea fox name will cut into your negotions so i would say anywhere from 5-7000 for a realistic asking price. as far as is tit worth keeping, if u are not using it why bother keeping it.

Well, we do use it. To me if we could get 10,000 for it then it made sense to sell it. If we can't get that much for it then it makes more sense to keep it and continue using it.

anyone who has never heard of tht, or asked for opinions on their boat search here, will pay about the same for any similar 2003 bayboat.

I recently sold a 2000 seafox 195 with a 2012 etec 130 for 10k. still had 1 year left on the warranty. Took about a month and a half to sell. I enjoyed mine and it was laid out nicely for inshore fishing.
I would suggest craigslist over this site to sell. You won't get the Seafox snobs there.

I agree, if we do end up selling it will be done locally. I know Sea Fox name doesn't carry a lot of respect but it has served us well and never let us down.

so u sold a seafox with a newer engine with warranty(most of that 10000 is in the engine) still left for 10,000. His boat has a 2003 carbeurated engine. I dont see how hes going to get 10000 for his.

Well his hull is a few years newer and the local marine shop was going to sell it for me starting at 13 to 14k. She ran everything through her value estimator. By the time I paid them commission and took a chance leaving the boat there I just decided a quick sale would be best for me. I listed on C-list at 12k, received dozens of calls mostly begging to buy it for 8k. Decided I would take the first 10k offer.
If his is in nice shape I think 7 to 8.5k is not unreasonable. Mine served me well for about 12 years and I sold the original Johnson 115 while it was still running. Just wanted the reliability and warranty of the Etec.
