All Cats are weight sensitive and much depends on driver skill as well. The Calcutta is a semi-displacement hull..much like a World Cat and unlike a Glacier Bay which is a displacement hull as you stated. There is a big difference between the 2 hulls. My personal preference is a Planning Cat hull.

I don't know how fast they are, but I know one time one with 140s slowed down in front of us in the river, in hopes of following us down a pass. We didn't see him again until 3 hours later when we were icing our last fish and he was finally getting there. it was 3-4, I was very impressed he stuck it out

Yeah, they are not speed demons but your 37mph IS 'misinformation'. The boat can be configured with a 90 all the way up to 175 Etecs. Some have even put 200 Etecs. I know the Suzuki 140's get mid 40's mph and the Merc 150's get into the low 50's mph at wot.

Shitloads.

Two live well options. 44 or 75 .

140 GALLONS of fuel .
One of the guys in Louisiana often does 275 mile round trips
with standard fuel and a pair of Suzuki 140's.

ok so everything measurable is better in the Cayo. Got it!

standard live well is 2x37 gallon and option for 55 more. 207 gallons of fuel. Same cruise efficiency except the Cayo is doing 40mph. Almost twice the storage.

now understand all the hype? Nothing in this size comes close.

My wife said none of those details matter if you pay $160k for an ugly boat...does it come with paper bags?

I did confirm with a friend of mine that he is on the build list for boat number 61. They may not have deposits for 70, but they definitely have deposits for 61.

Savage, you need to change your screen name to Jekyll&Hyde... no need to tell us which you are at any point, it's easy to discern.

How are people like you successful enough in life to afford a boat like this?

I'm not on a boat forum all day being a keyboard cowboy. Try working more and typing less.
