Seems like the boat was running around Miami on Tuesday and Wednesday before the show.
i dont know what happened.....but whatever happened seemed to happen on the weekend before the last day of the show.

New products only get one shot to be great, so you have to understand the risk of damaging public perception by rushing to the finish line. This company has managed to generate buzz through several social media platforms and a one man sales team. Now you are left in suspense, I would say that is a solid low cost marketing plan. I personally do not want impulsive buyers as customers on a boat of this caliber (or what we all hope it will be). They are a pain in the butt and will pull a deposit at the slightest hint of "bad rumors" from the grape vine.

If you have no real information, why waste your time and type?

Its very easy to sum up what happened in and around MIBS. The first boat was takin to Miami the week of the show to be seen on the water, give some sea-trials to deposit holders and get some feedback. the overall response was overwhelmingly positive. I personally have been on a sea-trial and have a deposit down on a 264 and matching 180 Skiff. I did my ride in saint Petersburg out of the Getaway Maximo marina on a day that it was blowing 25-30 out of the east. it was very choppy 2'-3' and the boat preformed amazing. I put my deposit down on the dock right after the trial. The quality, fit, and attention to detail of this boat is outstanding. I put it on par or better then Barker, Mag bay, Bahama, ect. I dont consider to be any expert but I have owned and/or ran everything from 100'+ motor yachts to 65' sport fishers to 42' CC down to bay boats for over 20 years. They have slowed down the marketing and promoting because they dont want to continue to take orders and back log out 2,3,4 years like some others have done. They are focused on streamlining the manufacturing processes and procedures to maintain that top quality and start producing boats in a timely fashion. I Spoke with Capt Ryan yesterday to set a time next week for me to meet with them to go over my build of both boats. Everyone has to remember that this is a smaller custom builder and I give them a lot of credit for how they are approaching the market. The internet is a very negative place and they are not a massive boat builder with a marketing team in an office just policing and posting info all day. I think everyone needs to cut them some slack and let them get some boats built. They did just pull Hull #3 and I expect to see #4 in the mold next week. Anyone having concerns about the boat or the company, I urge you to call Ryan of JB and have a conversation with them and schedule a meeting. They are a great group and are not trying to hide anything. Obviously most of the people whining on THT ether dont run a company and/or have never tried to launch a project like this in a very competitive market that has way to many keyboard Capts. When I did my ride I was asked to please not post a bunch of pics as they were still in testing. As a professional curtesy I will ask next week if I can take some pics and post them but I WONT post pics or build costs without there consent. My 2 cents!!

Great couple of recent posts and I'd recommend for those of you who haven't done so, hit up Instagram and take a look at the new video. As to the complaints of keyboard cowboys by savage and our first time poster nanug7 (welcome to THT), in the absence of information, the troops will make up their own stories which more times than not will be negative rumors. This is truly unfortunate, but has existed well before the internet and social media.

Much success to Cayo and to those that have their deposits down. She's a looker for sure!

Not sure how to make that happen... you can't link Instagram to THT posts and I'm not sure how to download the video.

No, I'm not interested in another 24ft bay boat. Mine has done a fantastic job.

So let me get this straight- you haven't ridden in the ECB, but couldn't shut up about how terrible it would ride, and additionally you haven't ridden in this boat and are convinced it walks on water to the level of criticizing those asking about the lack of reports? Seems credible...
