Definitely needs DRY rod storage. Maybe under the gunnels, still leaving room for feet under the boxes. Entry to the boxes should be from the side of the tunnel, NOT the top. That's just wet rod storage.

Other ideas in case anyone cares:

1). Put the bait well under the seat in front of the console.
2). The entire front of that platform should be one huge storage box except for a smaller anchor box inset into the larger storage box. Two separate hatches though.
3). Front REMOVABLE seating option - you could incorporate that into the big ass fish box idea above.
4). I would want a full transom both for storage and rear seating - also removable.
5). Jack plates -using this boat inshore you will need them. Also provides more setback so the motorwells don't eat up so much space.

This makes makes a great seat and has a ton of dry storage beneath. It works great for food/beach bags/ tackle bags, etc.. without having to get on your knees and access the in deck storage.

People actually reading books! I love it.

Jack plates are an option. With the motors up and medium load he said it floats in 13" of water. There are now 8 boats sold.

Someone needs to PM me the price of these.

Just call JB up. Phone number is on their facebook page. Vectorworks is doing the engineering, CNC and making the mould.

I think just making a big fish box/storage the width of the hull and use it as a step up would be great. The same way my SL3 is made.

This is one of the only new designs Iíve actually been enthusiastic about in the past few years. A simplified open layout is what i would be interested in. Would like as much open deck space as possible especially behind the leaning post. Thatís one of the things I like most about the Calcutta.

They seem to have pretty much nailed the hull design. Not awkwardly dumpy looking like most of these style cats. Like.

Easy - go hardcore and order it without a LP

Anyone know how long they have been in business? How has their fit and finish been? Called them today but I return call. Curious to see how this looks, been between calcutta and prowler till I saw this... hmmm

I talk to Cayo few days ago and ask them about the step up. Cayo said if you look at the rendering of the one looking down you see the step isn't stick out much and wouldn't be in the way. I look at the again after Cayo told me about it and it didn't look to bad.

Don't need to know that to see the difference in the boxy Barker and the sleek Cayo. Invincible and Barker both missed the mark on their designs, IMO, very boxy. This one has the best lines of any cat I've seen. Nice flow, flare, and aggressive rake at the bow.
