Not just a single step but a double step in the hull - Is there really enough hull length in a 29 to do this correctly? Also, see that it has built-in trim tabs in back, which is a little unusual I think. Motor usually trims Cats. Would like to see more details on the design analysis that was done up front. And concur - would put a premium on open deck space.

Many boats several feet shorter than this have double steps

This is a 26 footer, not a 29. Plenty of room for two steps. The Barker Calibogue Bay is a 26 with two steps. The SeaVee 270Z is a 27 Bay Boat with two steps.

I think every modern cat has trim tabs. I know Prowler and Freeman both do. Very confident the Invincible and SeaHunter do as well.

I doubt the NA is going to give up the design analysis LOL.

Looks like they are putting features of a 36'+ CC into a 26' hybrid with the lounge and big leaning post. Basically there is no room to fish... Looks like a perfect sandbar show-off boat...

I made a similar point in the instagram comments and they seemed receptive to the input, so we will see.

Actual dimensions will matter a lot.

I hope that I'm wrong and this is not the open model. Of course, the rendering could make it look more cramped than it really will be

Chill guys, the interior layout isn't set in stone. The hull has taken it's form but from what I understand they are just playing with interior layouts at this point. I'm certain the feedback posted here will help the boat take on it's final form. That's what's great about it.

Offshore Apparel will likely be taking delivery of one of the 1st few boats to hit the water. This is a perfect "keys boat" to hit both offshore and the shallow flats on the bay side. It makes perfect sense for us here on the Gulf coast around New Port Richey too with lots of shallow water that gets short period gulf chop. This will be a solid, well built boat and IMO it has the nicest looking lines of ANY cat.

Has anyone seen any projected pricing on these? The hull design is sharp looking! I’d love to see some of the other cap designs.

The lines are amazing and I love them. I hope the ride does as well. It is a perfect boat for anybody who does a combination of inshore, nearshore and offshore fishing. I can easily see myself taking it drum fishing in the inlet one day, hitting a nearshore AR for flounder or sheepshead another and heading 60+ miles off for wahoo the next. That's why I'm so interested. I'm with everyone else though in that it is too cluttered currently. Especially since my Dad is handicapped, more walking room is super important. Being able to use a rotomolded cooler in lieu of the coffin box, and having more room in the cockpit by deleting the livewell and doing a tackle center with slide out cooler (like Blue Dolphin did on his 29 Freeman) would be awesome and I made that recommendation on Insta. Two 30 gallon wells is plenty for me (yeah I know you guys in the keys tend to use a lot more live bait then I do even when I'm in a king tournament)

Looks like a nice setup. I saw it on their Instagram and looking forward to seeing it in person.

you do realize the Calcutta stern gate locks in the up position and is watertight?

OP, the lines look nice. best of luck.
