Default Seahunt BX22 price check

Looking for a reasonable price range I should expect to pay for a new Seahunt BX22 with 200, T top and a few options. The Texas dealers have lost their minds. 63K, no electronics. Nothing extra, it did have the bait well leaning post but that is it. This is boat show prices too! Really aggravating with such wild price ranges for a new SeaHunt boat it seems. The Texas BX25 is around 80K!!! I see people on here were paying high 30's just 2 years ago for a new BX22?

Nobody will reply via email for dealer network rules apparently or will send me any quotes in writing. I have only called one out of state east coast dealer and got a rough price quote of 47K for the same boat over the phone. I don't want to get them in trouble but they are a common place mentioned often on seahunt threads on here. They were hesitant to give me a price out of state and kept asking me about my local dealer. I said the local dealer prices within 300 miles are all outrageous and I will not deal with them. They finally gave me a quick baseline price quote and said they would be happy to work with me. Definitely worth driving 1000 miles to save 15 grand! It seems like I could get a brand new BX 22 with an F250, Power pole, Ipilot and 10" electronics for less than a bare bones 200hp model in Texas! To be honest, this is a free market in the USA. I should be able to get whatever price quote I want from anyone. Best price wins. Who cares what state I live in or what dealer network I happen to be in. All these games they play are absurd.

Is 47K about as good as you can get currently?

Who are the best dealers to deal with on Seahunt price? Do they have a problem with out of state people? Nothing on boat trader has prices. Really annoying.

Also does anyone know fair price range on options when ordering:
-Leaning post livewell vs non
-No powder coat
-Upgrade to 250? Was told about $6500?
-IPilot
-Powerpole
-Jackplate
-10" screen/vhf etc..

(If I could stay within 3K on price and be local and not have to drive 2000 miles, ok, but they aren't willing so I guess I will be driving for any boat I purchase. It cost me about 450$ in fuel to make the 2000 mile roundtrip drive with trailer. So the savings are worth it)

Still looking at Keywest BR models as well but running into same issues on TX pricing.

Just went through this and placed a deposit on a new BX 22 BR to be delivered in early April.

SH protects their territories so you will likely struggle to get pricing from out of state dealers. I found that you could talk numbers if you visited a showroom or made a trip to a boat show. I'd recommend doing exactly that.

And yes, those numbers you're being quoted seem high.

I'll PM you with more info.

Thank you. This is exactly what I am running into. Just needing to know a good negotiating baseline price people are getting lately, and exactly "where" I should fly out too if I go with the Seahunt. Being an airline pilot I can fly free so getting there isn't a big problem, just time consuming. I do know 63K is not even in the right ballpark unless it happened to be loaded to the max with every option/extra possible, which the TX one's are certainly not... Look forward to your PM.

For what it's worth, I bought a new 2014 Sea hunt bx 22 with 200, Lowrance 7, trailer, Sea Hunt T Top for $42k.

I bought her from Chris at Boats Unlimited, Market Street, Wilmington NC.

PH: 910-681-0458.

I am taking delivery of a new Ford f150 on Friday if you need someone to tow it down for a reasonable price - depending on where you are.

Probably closer to 4. Real pretty light blue hull. Definitely eats up a chop.

Point is, I know many buyers from out of town make the trip to buy from him. He also has dealerships in Raleigh and other areas.

63K sounds 10-12K high to me.

He wont sell out of state anymore. I bought my BX 22 and first BX 24 from Chris. My second BX 24 was from Chatlee. Because Chris quit out of state sales.

Chatlee gets the second most SH boats besides Legandary Marine.

That's why they are almost always the cheapest.

A lot of dealers get half the boats that Chatlee and Legandary get. That's why the other dealers want stupid prices for their boats.

That seems ridiculous if true. This is the United States, not North Korea. If someone walks in to buy a boat then why can't they sell it to them? To protect the other out of state dealers price gouging 15K-20K or more? Screw those dealers, the price gouging dealers deserve to be put out of business.

From what I have gotten so far in just one day privately in price estimates the Texas dealers are gouging 34%-46% more on a Seahunt. That is not even in the realm of being reasonable. 5-8% ok, whatever, but geez. This is crazy.

Thank you to everyone helping out with prices. I can't believe anyone buys boats in TX. The Hull Truth will save me a fortune!

Sorry I worded that wrong. It seemed like I was saying Chatlee and Legendary have the best prices.

Chatlee has the best prices by far.

Legandary is priced higher than Bent Marine and the Texas dealers.

Legandary actually has about the highest prices on SH boats that I have seen. Havent a clue on how they sell anything.

Other brands are doing the samething. They want local dealers to sell in certain areas. Its not just SH.

Thank you, I have looked. From what I am hearing though from members here that have recently purchased on the East Coast I may be able to get a new one for less or close to what some of the used ones are selling for. I have gotten recently bought prices from $43-47K range with options.

Exactly and 5 years of motor warranty to

A lot of people paid to much for their boat. So they try to sell close to what they paid for it.

Get a good deal in the beginning makes it easier at resale time.

Captain... no harm. Just had a bad experience with LM.

Just found them to be off the chart expensive. Bought a 29 Gamefish from them and expecting a decent deal from them. When they found out I priced around they went ape shi*.

The motor warranty is the main reason I want new. That and being able to pick what I want in options/color and not have to remove and try to resell electronics or whatever I may not really want.

If the price is right I would certainly consider it used, I have looked for a while, but for a 22 it would have to be in the 30's it looks like for it to be even be worth it IMO since you can get a new one with TM and power pole for low to mid 40's it seems.

I have seen used ones in TX in the mid 50's! No thanks!

And my family and friends love the SH BX 25 BR. This is an awesome platform for our needs. There are always a few things you would like differently but we are extremely happy. Momma even put the first fish on!!
