Default Freeman Boatworks - Waiting Times Reduced!

Since I am building a Freeman 37 VH https://www.thehulltruth.com/boating...t-th-mold.html, I visited the new factory in Summerville, SC.

The new factory is much, much larger than the old factory and there were two to three dozen boats in various stages of production.

I met some of the new production personnel and was informed that Freeman production has already increased 50% with the new facility and new operational procedures!

The good news for those considering Freeman or those in line for a Freeman, is that waiting times are likely to be reduced!

While visiting the factory, I also noticed that there is constant innovation, modification, and improvement. For example, 1) all of the 37s get the ballast system. 2)The 37s have a new upper box for VHF (almost always 2 radios) installation freeing up room for larger GPS Plotter Sonar Multifunction screens. 3) The layout of the boat has some modifications for the quadruple motor weight on the transom. 4) Rodholders and Cupholders have increased in number from the earlier versions. 5) 42LR Coffin box is an option now on the 37 (even though it may not be preferred for some fishermen who want more cockpit space. And these are just a few I could think of off the top of my head.

They pay you to write this post? Give it up, we all know you are building the "Greatest Center Counsel".

Correct. I should have written a longer post since I am paid $100 per character.

Adding weight to do this sounds like a good solution if you own shares in Exxon.

The hull still comes with trim tabs doesn't it? Is it unbalanced weight wise when they go from twins to quads?

I want the real deal. No offense to any other builder. Theres alot of good ones. I own a regulator and love it. However, a Freeman is actually cheaper than a new regulator in the respective size category. 34 vs 34 etc. I went to FLIBS and have rode on both. Its about the cockpit space to me. I have a young son and often have friends that come along. It's nice having the extra space. Other advantage, the Resale value speaks for itself with a Freeman.
