Awesome numbers! That is an amazing boat. I grew up working as a mate on a 38 Topaz and still the most comfortable, capable 38' sporty I've been on.

Would love to know what kind of gains you get from the Veems.

i thought I threw some power in my 36 Bertram with 550s, but you really loaded up that 32 Topaz with 507s. What’s the weight on that boat? I’m weighing in at about 26k in the travel life.

Roughly 24,500 with full fuel, 4 200+ guys etc....the gains from the VEEMS were impressive. Interestingly, when I discussed it with them
they got all kinds of data and measurements on the boat to develop a simulation. Then they told me that they could either give me better
mid range OR higher top end but not both. I of course went with mid-range and the gains are 10-12% across the board. Well worth the expense
and frankly my old props were fairly tapped out. Kind of cool is that from 2200 rpm to 2600 rpm the load factor DROPS 4-5%. 68% load is
now dead on 30kts fully loaded. 80% load is flat out hauling ass. Trip 5 weeks ago we ran 80 nm SE, hi speed trolled for 4 hours then switched
to regular trolling. Ran 88 nm home (at 30kts the entire way, at that exact speed the engines have the sweetest tone to them, hard to describe)
and total fuel burn was 235 out of 400. I'll take that all day long, along with having a hot shower, fresh coffee, HVAC, a generator, a bed...…..

I'm running 4 blade Acme's that are only a couple of years old, but I just ended up taking some pitch out of them on my repower. I just did a 100nm run back to Cape May from winter storage. I'm running between 32 and 33 knots at the rated cruise of 3,000rpms at 76% load. I have been thinking about getting a set of Veems, this may push me over the edge!
