Seven Marine/Volvo future looking good. Wonder what the fuel cap will be?

I remember when the 42 yellowfin was an "absurdly huge CC." Times are good. :

I don't see the reason to get outboards on a boat that size. You won't be trailering it and with the quad 627s that thing will require, diesel would almost be a similar cost.

I don't think cost is the deciding factor in a boat such as this.

Okay, this may not sound very THT of me... but is there a such thing as too much center console? Is the bow going to be so high up over the water that it will make fishing difficult? It seems like unless the bow is way up there it would be more prone to burying the bow in anything of decent height with a short period. Right? I know these guys are professionals who have been designing boats forever... just some armchair captaining and avoiding work on a Monday.

I mean it is cool as hell... would I pass up the opportunity to ride/fish one? Hell no... It makes for an easy way to get 12 guys fishing at once. ha.

Installing diesels would take up a lot of room. 7marine all of it's on the back. When new engines are needed just unbolt them and go. Maintenance has to be easier and no through hulls for anything to leak.

If they didn't already have a buyer lined up they wouldn't be spending that kind of money just because. Must be a market

I don't think it's about fishing any more. More of a "Mine is bigger than yours" thing.

Just goes to show you guys... I take a very "average joe" look at things... hahaha. That's a class of life I'm not quite at yet.

Even if I hit the power Ball I am not in that class . Could be the new style head boat. I would rather head to the dry Tortuga's and be back the same day if booking on a head boat

My god if you had to chase a fish from the stern to the bow you'd be out of breath!

I was on the 53 at the MIA boat show and that thing had a 2nd row of seats sitting 6 behind the console and a huge cabin with bathroom, shower, and a bed. I think these break away from the traditional center console and are a hybrid walk around. I mean it has a full blown cabin for gods sake.

I'm sorry, I just don't understand a 60 foot center console. Why wouldn't you just buy a sport fish at that point.

At some point this is silly. That's just me.

I've spent the last few weeks fishing on a 43 CC that while a great great boat at some point becomes a bit clumsy to fish on. The bow is too high to fish effectively from, you have to walk back to get anything in the boat but not too far back because you have 4 motors back there to tend with. Nice boat to get there and back on though.

The money is something. Cost of the boat is high, running it a whole other equation. I get it that if you have this boat you don't even worry about the fuel burn but at some point that is real money.
