Default Through hull transducer question

I just purchased a Sea Hunt 225 Ultra. I have only been out once in it. The Garmin 94sv did not seem to be working correctly. I looked at the transducer B60 20 degree tilt. The arrow is pointing at the keel. Is that correct. I would think the arrow should be pointing forward, in other words along the length of the keel.

Nope, arrow faces the keel. I've installed that exact same ducer several times.

Should point towards the keel. Have to make sure its not close to any thru hulls or any obstructions in front of the ducer.

Pictures would help

See below, you will find it under " Installing" on second page of link at the bottom.

"12° and 20° models—From inside the hull, point the arrow on the top of the transducer (and the cable exit) toward the KEEL or centerline of the boat (see Figure 1). This will align the angle of the element inside the transducer with the deadrise angle of your hull"

Thanks for the quick responses. I saw the arrow and assumed it should point along the length of the keel. I am wrong. It is installed correctly then. I am relieved. I will have to play with the settings. It is probably something simple.

Aslong as its on auto gain medium or high it should read bottom at any speeds. If you have it on manual gain then the speed and depth of water will determine on what gain setting it needs to be on.
