it will be interesting to find what was wrong with the harness "keep posted" ,

great to read its up and running and it was nothing too major.

thanks, when I have some time I will go through the harness and post what I find. I know there is someone one this forum that is having the same issue.

have the old harness out but have not really found where the problem is. might have corrected itself
when I pulled the connectors apart to test them. pulled the 2 ground blocks and they looked clean. there is another ground block real close to the main ground on the harness it is a skinny yellow plug/block. it looked suspect but once I had already pulled apart and put back together it tested out fine.

if I have more time I will look at the harness again. but engine is running great with the new harness.

ECU's on most EFI engines provide GROUND, not power.. Typically you will find battery voltage on the + side of injectors, and then the ECU grounds the injectors in firing sequence.. From what you describe the symptoms were, and how you fixed it, it sounds like an open ground somewhere,, Could be a corroded connector or just a connection not making good contact.. Go through the old harness and you may find the cause... bob
