Default Key west T-Top vs regular top

Looking to build a boat and just wasnt sure to go with key west top that make it easy to grab pole out quick or regular t top that has small cut out for the poles to go inside of. Is there that much shade on regular t top. Looking for some opinions?

Once you have a key west t top there is no going back.. I can't stand people tearing the guides off my rods trying to get them out of a square top

I have the regular hardtop. I have had a few broken guides that have been replaced, but the coverage is much better with the regular. In the rain, while on the hook, you will wish you had the regular for walking and fishing around and sitting in the front. While running in the rain or trying to get out of the sun--there is no blockage at all up front. The KW top is cool to look at and it will save a couple of guides---but what's a replacement guide go for $20?

mine had the regular top on it when I bought it and I had a key west top built for it. As the captain, I find very little difference in shade. I'm covered just the same. People sitting on the front seat might be exposed a little more, but why would I give a crap about them?
