Default Suzuki props stolen while boat is in 'secure' yard for Hurricane Irma

Went to storage yard to check on boat after the storm and from a distance was thrilled it looked intact. Until I walked around and saw this

If there had been damage from the storm I would have been sad but Mother Nature is undefeated. But dealing with the scum of humans is maddening.

Many moons ago, I had a CB radio and linear amp stolen from my car in my driveway, and my next door neighbor caught the guy doing the same to his. Clocked him with a baseball bat across his upper arm, and broke it.

When the cop arrived, the perp said he was going to sue... the cop asked him, "For what? I saw you fall when you tried to get away."

HOWEVER - the reason these thefts occur isn't because the lot owners don't have the right weapon, it's because they do a piss-poor job of securing the boats and actually preventing them.

my equpment stored in my locked barn is not a piss poor job of preventing and it happened to me? the reasons these thefts occur is because the legal system is broke, going to jail is a joke, cable tv a/c pack of smokes and a soda, 3 hot meals a shower and clean close? playing cards and basket ball all day? sounds real hard! if they had fishing i would sign up today.

watch the tv show cops. they arrest the guy for xxx reason, while reading their rights, the guy says take me to jail, i will be out and on the streets before you complete your paper work. see it all the time on that show.

That's what I was thinking. It's not much consolation, but the thieves were obviously in the yard, it could've been a lot worse.

Keep in mind it's a TV show and they know putting shit like that on there pisses people off and keeps them watching. Go by the prison someday, there's lots of people in there.

yes it is a tv show but there is still true that they are in and out alot faster than they should be.
not saying they are not full, just saying it cant be that bad being that most of them that are in there, have been in and out more than one time. if we made it so miserable they wouldnt want to go back, well maybe the system would be effect.

Very few make it to prison. Its the prosecutors who are dropping charges in exchange for a plea on a much lower charge. Its happening from coast to coast. In republican and democratic areas.
On July 4th last year I had a guy circle my business three times in his truck and in broad daylight on camera jump and out toss a $2500 kayak in the back of his truck and take off. We called 911 and he got into a 100 mph car chase with the cops in July 4th traffic. He got away but they picked him up two days later. He refused to talk and wouldnt say what he did with the kayak. Six months later the prosecutor let him plea to evading the police (felony) and dropped all the theft charges against him. Im out $2500 and he gets to keep the kayak. He got two years probation. No jail time for a felony. And to top it all off he was on probation already at the time he stole the kayak.
This is not an isolated incident. This is what is happening every day in our court systems.
