Default Poll question. Regulator Classic with no forward seating or Forward seating ?

Would you chose the classic style Regulator with no forward seating or the newer style with forward seating.

Opinions and views welcomed.

Also with them costing so much try to view it as what you would use it for at the price point they cost.

So if you could afford one and use it what would you chose ?

Seating

But we haul people as much as we fish.

For you depends on what you do on the boat

depends on your uses and preferences... we had the 23 FS version and didn't use the seats but maybe twice a year.. have no forward seating on current boat and don't miss them a bit. Theres more room, and its easier to deal with anchor and bow cleats. Bought some ocean tamer bean bags and no one has complained yet.

You can always added fold down seating/ bean bags. You cannot take it away without a saw

At their price point, they better have some amenities. Forward seating at a minimum. I am talking generator, water heater, grill, refrigerator, head/small berth, TV, etc.

Since they don't make a Classic anymore I would assume if you do have one it's worth good money. A lot of people won't buy a Reg because of the forward seating.

I have a 32 and like the forward seating. Easy to get on and off, great storage, and a place to sit comfortably. With a 600qt fish box and a 300qt fridgid rigid no worries about where to put fish.

Currently own a 21 and 26 Regulator, both classic. Not interested in a FS Reg. Guess if I want to upgrade, I'll need to buy an old 32 Classic and drop a couple DF350's on her.

I can see why some would prefer the seating, dry storage would be the only reason for me tho, the open classic design is my preference but different strokes for different folks, I do wish it was at least an option with Regulator

Shoulda had flat deck as your 3rd choice. I won't ever consider a Reg because of the FS AND the step up bow.

Classic, no forward seating. I don't want to be fishing a boat that size with more than 2-3 max people aside form myself anyway.

even with the foward seating fishing inst a problem, but you also cant really sit up their while under way, at least not doing any kinda speed its to bumpy, so its a toss up,I have a 26 reg with foward seating, and the storage under the seats are nice

23 reg classic. From a fishing standpoint it's awesome. Bean bags work wonders for crusing days

I don't own a Reg but do have a boat with FS. I use one side as the food/drink cooler and the other side as a dry storage for people to put their crap in. If I didn't have FS I'd have to bring a big cooler which I don't like doing.

Had a classic 26 with no FS and it is a great boat to fish....when my kids were old enough to come out with me I bought a 28 FS and the seats were great when they were young as a place to sit....now there 16 and 14 and the seats are in the way....next boat on order with no front seats.....
