Iím curious as to what market saturation is on boats that cost 650k+

Thatís not a dig on any of these manufacturers, just an observation.

Its not that they produce 1,000's of those boats a year. It's a select few fighting for the Millionaire boat buyer.
A lot of people made money on the housing and the stock market in the past 7 years. The wealth gap has separated for now.
Not to mention the margins are much higher on larger boats.

I agree, also what is helping is that the are taking market share away from Sporties and Expresses.

I'm in for the race. I'll let y'all know what I'm running a little closer to the date. Miami Boat show might work.??

that won't be ready for sure. Bill will have one at the show, but it'l be hull#1 and will only have twins. Keith has a 38 Fountain right now and it's pretty fast. Also has 42 Prowler with twins, but she's no race boat with on 700 hp!

Won't happen . Homesites boat was the last big show for the Grove slam. After that no one showed up to race but deep impact and they showed up in force. Everyone else has chickened out and I imagine if another was set up again the same would happen again. Shit talk all the way up to it , then no show.

I was in the second grove slam race the year after the famous homesite race......there were quite a few entrants.....and yes Deep Impact dominated against a quad Seahunter boat and a few others. I don't think it did much for Deep Impact.

If it's less than 2 then I think the mono 39' Nortech would win at 94.1MPH out the box and rigged for speed 101MPH.

Offshore could be a different story.

Which was the year INV raced your boat? Wasn't that the Homesite race? I remember the orange Deep with trip 350's Yamaha was doing good but then a few bolts broke off their motor.
Miss La won and heard it was a 87-90MPH at the time.

I bought it few months after that race. Homesite went into limp mode twice or he would have won easily. My boat turned off because the plexiglass panel fell and shut off one of the motors or something like that. Miss LA had no issues except if I remember correctly the driver hurt himself from the pounding.....I don't think she was doing 87-90 cuz a quad Fountain was only doing low 80's.....I might be wrong. Video of that race is pretty good.

The day before the race my good friend was on Miss La. He also owns a quad 250xs TE. His was an 81MPH boat new. He saw Miss La had broke 87-90mph in the past on the plotter. Not sure what they ran at that day but I'm sure it was in the 80's coming back in. It wasn't a calm day good 2-4's and that's why most boats had some type of trouble. The optis continued to run when airing out the boat. The V-rods weren't getting enough water to keep them cool so they were going into guardian mode.
It was the most anticipated race the slam ever had that's for sure.

Miss La was running 82ish when she passed the "committee" boat at the finish. Homesite was not running his boat (he was on committee boat), Alden ran it. Don't know about injury, but wouldn't surprise me. They beat themselves silly that day.

You clearly have a problem with facts, so let me help you. I have approx 150 post (you can search my activity) I posted just recently on a Freeman thread by Rod27 who I personally know and was clearly joking around. That is a long way off from “trolling” Freeman threads.....weak!!

So, the build sheet is 99% complete for the 40 Invincible cat that we will be fishing the Northern Gulf Coast tournaments in this season. If not already in the mold, she will be going in the mold very soon. I will gladly document the build and performance. There has been a lot of unnecessary bickering going on in this thread. I will say that I have yet to see one person who has actually ridden on the Invincible suggest or post anything negative about it.

This is going to be fun and I am very excited about running and fishing this new sled. It has been a while since I have been this excited about a new platform. Thank you Invincible for such an amazing fish killing machine. Can't wait!
