I think that is a stretch. 8-10' seas is 16-20' from the bottom of the swell to the top of the next one. So unless they were really big rollers spaced really far apart I would have a difficult time thinking any vessel could run 35mph.

You're thinking of amplitude. Wave height is from crest to trough and is what people are generally talking about when they say something like 8-10' seas. Offshore buoys and news reports also talk in terms of wave height, not amplitude (https://www.weather.gov/key/marine_sigwave).

I think if I was on a new model half million dollar plus boat I'd be happy to spend a couple of grand on a 4k IS video cam.

My thoughts exactly. I own one, am local, and have offered my services for free. Still:

I hope that's not the 8-10ft seas. Looks like 3-5 ft. They would need to press submarine mode in 8-10's.

Everyone who lives in South Florida and looked at the NOAA forecast saw that the wind on Tuesday was blowing 27-32 knots gusting to gale force. The seas were 9-11 ft with seas up to 14ft in the gulfstream. The seas were the same on Monday night and slightly higher on Wednesday.
These are facts. Stop making up crap when you were not out on the ocean and did not see for yourself how rough the ocean was on Tuesday.

They brought the 2 cats and a 36 step over on Sunday and returned on Tuesday so there were 3 boats in the group they also brought a full camera crew with them
To film in the blue water in Bimini they returned with a stern cornering sea from Bimini to Miami ... the said 8-10 and the camera crew returned on the cat boat ...approx a 40 mile run fyi

Now it just went up to occasional 14 footers... What's next they caught a tsunami and surfed it into port?

A 70 plus Sportfisher isn't going 35 MPH in 8 to 10 footers unless its a HUGE far apart hurricane swell.

A 40 foot anything isn't doing 35 MPH in 8 to 10 foot wind sea. They would be coming over the bow of the boat.

That's laughable

Just hitting the face of an 8 to 10 foot wave is sending you airborne unless you in a SHIP

Keep her above 40 and crest the waves. Once she gets aired out on the step it's smooth sailing.

this is comical. Invincible needs to take it down a notch. I sure itís a nice boat but itís still a 40í boat.
