Default A few simple plumbing questions for livewell and washdown pumps

I'm wanting to add a wash down pump to my boat. The only system(s) that I see that I can tap into for a feed is one of my livewell pumps (without adding a thru hull.)

The live well pump has a sea cock right below it.

I can tee into the aux outlet/inlet on the base of the pump (1/2" npt). (This is under the livewell impeller.) My concern about this, is it could put more physical stress on the plastic pump housing, and it's a little harder to get to. This hole is labeled "D" on the drawing below.

Or I could tee into the 3/4" outlet house from the live well pump. Then adapt down to the 1/2".

Think it matters either way?

Looking at tee fittings, the only one I've seen is white nylon. Is this acceptable for this application?

The inlet to the wash down pump is 1/2" npt.

One more... what material tubing/hose should I use to feed wash down pump? Hardware store, or special "salt stuff"?

I'd tap into D with the shortest nylon barbed fitting available and use a supple hose from there. Run one pump at a time and close the seacock when not in use.
