Default Sorry

I do and have done IT for auto dealers for 20 years. I have seen all the non-negotiable, bottom dollar, factory invoice language from sales people. If you are willing to work them and walk away if you don't get as much as you think you can get there is always negotiations that can be had.

By the same token if you are set on one specific item (boat, car, motorcycle) and nothing else will do, you're screwed. Just break out the wallet.

Saw my father buy a JD 544 forklift that started at $175K for $110K with free financing for 3 years when interest rates were over 10%. It took 3 months. But he kept his cash in the bank drawing over 10% with $110 K financed at 0% for 3 years. Do the math. It always depends on how hungry they are and how eager you are.

Buy boats from Thanksgiving to Valentine's day, if you want a buyer's market.
