FYI I own a pair of 200s on a hull that weighs 5300lbs dry, while it is shorter my hull weighs a lot more then yours. I Think the 200s are more then enough and going over that you are paying 1000s for a few MPH top end speed.
We were going 30.1knts (34.6 mph) burning 16.9 gph at 3400 RPM's and he is turning 21-TL-15 props on Yamaha 300s so that mpg is 2.0 and that was loaded down...

Jeepman, do you think the numbers would be better or worse than than for 300s?

Go with 300s...will always be easier to sell or trade with the max HP for the hull.

Worth noting the yamahas weigh 550# vs. suzukis and verados over 700# per outboard.

My 2016 Suzuki 300 was listed at 607lbs with a 25" shaft. Don't know about the Verado, but I don't think there is a 150lb difference between all three brands.

I am running twin 200s on a older 29 Seavee, basically 2 gal per mile at all speeds on a trip. Just did Miami to bimini and down to Riding Rock for 2 days, 107 gallons.

Inaccurate in regards to suzuki. Btw, Yamaha are 20k more....not worth it imo

If they fit. Get the largest mfd screen you can afford. No one ever says i would rather squint or struggle to see my position in rough seas

I'd get the bigger motors, delete the coffin box and keep the windlass. That could be a safety issue for your wife.

The 300s number should have been better then the 200s, but if you were loaded down then that would make the numbers lower for the 300s.

There is always a little trickery involved when the manufacturers post their outboard weights.

But at the end of the day, I would be happy with most of the 300s on the market.

Do you have pics of your setup? Just want to see how the console sits thanks!

I'd like to plan a trip down to see the boat when it comes out of the mold. Can anyone tell me about how long it will be in the mold?
