Default Older boat low hours

What would some of your concerns be if you were buying and 11-year-old boat with only 300 hours on it? That only averages out to a little over 27 hours a year. The boat seems like a good price and everything else on it looks good, owner says it's turn key, I am just a little concerned with the lower hours on it. The motor is a 2006 Suzuki 200 HP four stroke.

I bought a 10 year old boat with just under 300 hours. I knew the owner and knew it had been serviced fairly regularly and the lack of use was because of competing interests.

I had the 300 hr service done by a trusted mechanic (Sundance Marine), who also happened to be the original dealer, they said the motor was like new. I was happy to get a good deal on a lightly used boat that'd hadn't been run hard.

I wouldn't worry about it; in fact, I would be pretty pleased. If it had like 45 hours on it, then I might be concerned.

My boat, has a hull over 18 years old, but a motor approximately 10 years old has less than 150 hours on it, because I don't go far when I go fishing. It's maintained, as well as any boat. If I were you I would not hesitate, but I would check it out very thoroughly, because one never knows.

I just sold a 2006 boat with 315 hours on a 200 zuke.
Never had a bit of trouble out of motor. Most of our trips were around an hour or 2 of running motor.

I just bought a 2008 boat and engine with 235 hrs on it. Did 100 and 300 hour service and no issues so far. I have put about 100 hrs on it in 6 months.

I bought a 1993 last year with 106 hours on the original engines. Was stored on trailer in a climate controlled storage for many years. Had survey and sea trial. I'll be taking her out this weekend. Only problem Ive had with her so far is replacing a faulty fuel pump.
