Here's a pick of the rocket launcher on my boat. I would like to extend each side by about 6-8 " so I can spread the holders further apart and also mount spreader lights on it. Does anyone know if this can be done without going to a fabricator?
Also, any recommendations on how to find mountings for spreader lights on the tubular cross member of the launcher?

If you want it to look worth a darn, be durable and reliable find a local pipe welder. I can't imagine any clamp on contraption that would work to hold rods securely from your description. Spreader lights would be fairly easy if that's all you want. Good luck.

I completely agree. It was not my intention to make something that looks ugly. Perhaps my new attached photos will make it clearer. There seems to be a cap on the end which at this time I have not tried to remove. Logic would dictate that you could extend that bar by removing the end cap and sliding in a pipe that has a larger pipe attached so the extension would almost look seamless. Whoever had the boat before me probably bought that 2" rod and then bought the rodholders separately. They are 9" apart and can be moved I would like to buy a clamp on spreader light mount and don't know exactly where to find that and whether someone makes some sort of extension.

Well, it seems as if I have answered my own question. The rocket launcher was made by Atlantic Towers. All I need to do is buy a new pipe and change all the mountings over. They quoted me 200.00 for a pipe I can buy locally for about $50.00. So I will buy the pipe, polish it up and "Voila" fixed.

why don't you contact "palmetto trooper" on this forum and have him fabricate something specific to your needs/ wants and that location/ space. He's built me two awesome rocket launcher/ rod holders custom for an unbelievable price. Powder coated or polished and shipped. Search his name and check out his work before you commit to the extensions you described.
