Default New model -- Worldcat 280CC-X Center Console

Anyone know what the skinny is on this new model?

http://worldcat.com/models/280cc-x-center-console/

Says that it is a completely new hull design.

I just saw it on the website today. I have the old 27te which they no longer make. This new model replaces it. It adds nicer seating which gets in the way of hardcore fishing people but it looks nicer

Wow. This is a new design with the 9'2" beam and 600 hp max hp. Not a big fan of the two tone hull and lettering on bow but I do like the cockpit layout and console with windshield

Very impressed. Love the 3 piece design. Hopefully they have a model without the forward seating coming out also.

For some reason I actually liked the lettering on the bow. It stood out and was different.

I like it alot. Dang

The fancy curves at the stern are kinda over the top to convert monohull guys. But overall looks to be a really good performer.

Comes standard with a Garmin 7612xsv... I like when a builder does electronics as standard.

Pretty boat.

Looks like a real winner. Like the deck layout and extra beam. Great power and speed with a little extra fuel. LED Headlights!

I am REALLY digging the new model. Great size (both length and nice beam), features (rods holders, boxes, seating) and specs (30 cruise and close to 60 wot). All the stuff is standard (don't nickel and dime to death with options). Def dig it. Was looking at the 255DC, but I like the size of this one better and full glass screen and the big seat in the back vs the 4 singles on the 255.

Does anyone have any idea of MSRP and what the "boat show" price might be?

Don't bet on it. There is not a model in their lineup without forward seating. But, THT is not the marketplace and I hear from all manufacturers that forward seating models outsell the others. That being said, I like it alot. It has two pretty nice size fishboxes in the rear and a nice tackle station. I like the front seating and I know my wife and kids would love it. Be a good place to sleep on overnight fishing trips also. I would be it is a decent bit over $200k new though. Interesting too that the dry weight is only 7500#s. WC says that includes max power and options so that would include the weight of the hard top. Add a nice trailer and you are at around 9200#. If you tow with only a little fuel in it, you could get the towing weight under 10k.

I was on a flight last night when I was reviewing and couldn't view the video until now. I like the lines in the video a lot better than the pictures; still not sold on the bow name plate with WorldCat in bold letters (maybe there is an option for deleting the badging?). Also haven't seen any pictures of the dive platform; the video didn't seem to show their traditional one.

Anyone giving odds on whether the MSRP is north or south of 200k?

I am sure the letters are just glued on. Nothing some fishing line couldn't take care of. A new 29' WC is about 230k on boat trader, so I expect this one to be close to that. I emailed one of the dealers to ask. I will post what they say.

It looks expensive, but that can be said for all new boats.

My 1999 World Cat 266SF was $61K including boat/motors/trailer when I bought it new in 1998. Oh the good old days!

I like it, 59 MPH wot sounds pretty good for a cat, EXCEPT why of all things would they make it look like a sea fox from the side?!? Spec sheet does say it's available in full hullside color as well.

Looks like Freeman,Compmillennia and Prowler have made World Cat step up their game.

I always thought it was tough to design a good looking cat under 30' long. Along with the boats listed above, Tide Line does a great job and now World Cat.

Good looking boat.

And I like the bow lettering, but I am a redneck. Not so much the Sea Fox paint job.

I would love to see some reviews on its handling. I wonder how the new hull performs compared to the old one? I would love to cruise in the mid 30s and I hope we wont have to trim engines for beam or following seas with this design.

I have forward seating now and absolutely hate it. Nobody has ever sat on it. We constantly fall off the seats when standing on it. Not sure why more boats don' have "casting platforms" instant of the split seating.

Having said that I like the boat, big name and all. Looks great.

I hear you for pure fishing. My however does duty as fishing boat, cruising the river boat, tube pulling boat, and river sandbar boat. The layout of this would be a home run with my family. Having a head would make my two daughters and wife very happy.

Looks great, not crazy about the hull color or the big emblem on the front but Im assuming they probably have cooler options for full color etc and the emblem can be removed.....Otherwise great looking product, I am surprised they didn't put an electric table in the front seating area however.
