Default New tower build

I recently yanked off my 1/2 tower in preparation for a new one. The old one had a floor at 4'3". The new one will be right at 6'. It will be a fixed tower. I'll post pics as I get em.

Rear leg on the table. The holes in the table are where the steps go.

Think I've been in that shop. Either way I'll bet you'll enjoy not looking through the platform when you drive from the lower station.

Thanks guys. It will get the rigging in the front legs which is why that pipe is bigger than the rest. It's getting 11 rod holders like the last tower. However, they will be in 2 rows instead of 3.

Haha. He puts socks on with his flops. The whole thing gets tacked together then when it's all done he goes back and welds it all at once. Not sure if he rocks the socks and flops for that.

There's no slag falling with TIG welding. Been welding in flip flops for 15 years.

Jason has made pretty good progress today. Both sides of the tower are tacked together.

All the steps pre-cut and ready to go.

One side of the tower tacked together on the table.

Both sides face-to-face. From here they will get screwed to the jig vertically and the rest of the tower will be tacked together.

This guy is incredible. There is no unbent aluminum anywhere. Even the foot rest in the tower is crowned...
