I'm liking it. The freeman guys understand they own a great product that very few can have...no matter how much money because production is so limited.

I think part of the rally cry here is that their rarified perch is threatened.

The Invincible is as nice, has a superior layout, comparable ride (TBD) and comparable performance (TBD).

Moreover, if I put a deposit down, I can drop one in my slip in March 2018...not March 2020.

Thanks for the video rod27, been waiting for something of substance to come out.

For initial testing looks to be running at a good clip through some light chop.

Can't wait to see it, freeman and prowler in comparable seas. (Not trying to stir the pot). I mainly fish the mid Atlantic so mainly sportfish or smaller CC's here. Enjoy seeing what these big CC are capable of.

For what it's worth, I'm going to tell you about my experience, trying to get a build slot. One of my customers is VERY WEALTHY.... like, he would laugh at Trumps money. I'd fished the 42 Freeman and was very impressed, so much that I was telling him about it. He asked "When can I get some?" He didn't care about the price because that is not his concern. I called Scott and told him "Scott, this guy will buy a bunch of boats, money is no object". Scott replied "Rob, all my customers have money, it's not worth pissing off people that have already given me their deposits just to make some extra money on this other guy. I relayed the info and no boats were purchased. Freeman could have named their price but chose not to. BTW, I do not own a Freeman and do not have a deposit down for one. Just stating the facts. Now as far as the comment "I drive by a shop and see Freemans getting repaired....really? I guess none of the other boats break huh? Steering doesn't go bad on Yellowfins? Screws back out? Stress cracks? You sir have a lot to learn about boating. Enjoy your boat

Trump would have just purchased Freeman at that point. It would have been "bigly" ...

1.) the title of this thread has a question mark in it that was started almost a year ago by someone who was curious about rumors he heard. to me, that doesn't make this thread "an invincible thread". it started out as rumors that the manufacturer eventually ended up teasing everyone with, leaking out the littlest bits of fodder to stoke the fires. Kinda lame, in my personal opinion. But in no way do I feel that this thread can't have discussion about competing boats (of which Freeman is the main one). start a legit build thread and perhaps I'd have a different opinion.

2.) this crap about seeing Freemans at the shop getting worked on "all of the time" -- as I've said before, they're boats. Boats have shit that go wrong at times. ESPECIALLY, boats that get the ever living crap used out of them as most any Freeman in the gulf states does.

3.) I apologize for the lack of gifs. I didn't realize what my calling was.

I too saw the pic of the plug of the SeaHunter, it looks nice. I wouldn't be foolish enough to call it a "GAME CHANGER" because simply put, none of the manufacturers are game changers. One will be faster, one drier, one will have a better finish and one will deliver the boat faster. My prediction: They'll all sell boats. Inv's introduction didn't hurt the sales of YF even though it was "Two Steps Ahead". and SeaVee didn't hurt Inv with it's stepped hull. Face it, our economy is doing well and people have money to spend.

No game changers is right, once you get over 30' the cats advantages narrow with a comparable size mono. Under 27' a cat rules. At over 30' any good mono will fish same days as the cats. Doesn't matter what you're in when you slow down to fish you're still going to get your ass kicked

KEVIN50- I"VE GOT THE SOLUTION that will make EVERYBODY HAPPY

You stated that you have a build slot, obviously you've put down your $10k to get in line. From my understanding, that deposit is non refundable.

Depending on the date of delivery of the Freeman, I will pay you the 10k for you build spot. It's a win win situation. You'll get your 10k back, I'll get a Freeman faster than I could have otherwise. This is a no brainer.

I would like to see a copy of the check that Freeman cashed (acct no. redacted) and a signed letter from you directed to Freeman Boatworks stating that you are in agreement with this. You can PM it and unlike the other people on here, I will not repost it.

Depending on when your time slot was, I will meet you somewhere in the Bahamas and buy you the drink of your choice. We will tip our hats at a successful business deal where 1) You are happy 2) I am happy 3) Freeman is happy 4) Invincible is happy.

By your previous posts, you don't believe in "selling" slots but this is different, you're merely trying to re coup your $10k and this is a perfect way to do so. SO, WHAT DO YOU SAY? DO WE HAVE A DEAL?

This is exactly opposite of what I experienced. I went from a 31' Cape Horn to a 31' Prowler cat and now a 42' Prowler cat. Comparing the CH(which is a bad ass mono) and the 31 Prowler, I can assure you that I fished many days on the Prowler that I couldn't/wouldn't fish on the CH. And the main reason for this is the stability when I got there. In the northern gulf 4' is pretty nasty. The CH could get you there at a reasonable pace, but once on the fishing spot it was nearly impossible to stand in the boat. I remember one particular wahoo trip that we had to crawl to the back of the boat to set the lines out. The Prowler would go through the same chop a little quicker, a little smoother, but when I got there I could actually stand and walk around the boat without holding on. I could tie knots and rig baits. Simply it was fishable again.

I haven't fished any 42' mono hulls(other than a Viking) to compare my bigger Prowler to, but the stability is insane. It's like fishing off the dock. I doubt that's unique to my cat, but a 12' wide cat is going to be very stable--that's a big footprint.
