No, a guide at KW Yacht Harbor told me he is going to operate the boat for a West Fl based owner. Boat will be based primarily in KW.

I had to remove a secret boat design. Sorry.

looks like a Tideline 36.

This thread reminds me a little of the early days of catamarans when Grady White came out with their Tiger cat it wasn't very good but all of the sudden it gave the cats some credability since GW was doing it
with Invincible entering the market it will make people more aware of cats and giving people another choice is great , competition is good I look forward to updates and seeing it come to life |
I heard Barker is also looking at building a cat. Sounds like they'll both be 40', which I find surprising.
I would think they'd enter in the 29'-32' range which would mean a trailerable boat at more aggressive price point to address a larger market. Not that alone, but a cat of that size has a dance floor equal in size to a 36 mono, if not more. I have to think the market for a 40' cat is pretty limited, but perhaps that's what they're after. Imagine the challenges around getting the boat serviced for example. You can't just run it around to the ramp, throw it on a trailer, and scoot over to your service center. I can't wait to see them. |
Invincibile cat
I just found this thread, and I have a 42 Invincible and love the 50 knot cruise and fishibilty , I am planning on building a new 42 invincible at the ft Lauderdale show for a 2018 boat but if invincible is building a new cat and the layout, fishability , a lower gunnel, and has a cruise better than 55 knots , and they are local to south Florida ,I may be changing gears and have to take a good look at this new product..I have a call into invincible when I get some real information I will share it with you guys . I have not found a nicer company to deal with , the service has been amazing, my boat has 2000 hours , in 2 1/2 years ...I have no stress cracks and everything on the boat that invincible has made has been perfect.. I found a amazing manufacturer , so I will be staying with invincible, and by the way I do not know anyone who works there with the name Dave lol....If a invincible cat does become my next boat it will be hard to top my last build thread with 520,000 hits

Jon, I was at the factory yesterday. Invincible is definitely coming out with a Cat and I highly recommend you talk to Alex or Bill. When I was filled in on the details and what extent they have gone to make this Cat the best of the best you too will likely say "wow" like I did. Invincible has spared no expense on this one and their Cat is going to have to be at the top of anyone's list for those who are considering this type of hull. Good on you for being able to consider this as your next boat.
|
Kind of interesting to see them making a 40 cat which would compete with the regular 39 and 42. Seems it would cannibalize some of the current sales.
|
If the Invincible Cat has the same basic lines as their mono hills, it will be beautiful. I like their T-Tops too. I can't wait til they show renderings (or until Jon's build thread).:)
|
If they want this new Cat to get a lot of attention, have seawolff build the first one and do a build thread. It will get more marketing than they could ever afford. With their reputation this could be a game changer. If they are successfull you will see many other top tier mono builders try to jump on board. All good for us consumers!
