Sounds like the rumor was true, which confuses me. I know Michael Peters (MP) has been tied into Invincible since it's inception w/ some financial benefits on each boat sold. Now Invincible is building a cat boat and he did not do the design, yet is rumored to have designed one for Barker?

This makes me assume (I know ass u me) the Barker cat delay may be waiting to see what Invincible releases. Possibly why it has been kept so tight lipped as a result of MP's involvement in the company? This is not a troll post just trying to make sense of MP's decision not to design a boat for a company he has a lot of stake in, yet designed one for a direct competitor. Obviously much more to the story w/ contracts, ownership, and/or comfort level w/ his name on a design he may not believe can be properly executed ?

All joking aside. Why the pivot? The Invincible product is great! It runs amazing, the fit and finish gets better every year. You recently invested into a retool with MP on small parts and did a great job to add radius and shape all over the boats. The layout was always functional and the sheer is sexy, now your parts are following the trend setters like Intrepid and YF (rightfully so) and getting some shape! The line has been filled nicely from 33 to 42 and across the board you guys are building one of the best all around fishing mono's in market.

So why the risk with the change?

Competition and innovation and the free market.....i bet alot of it has to do with competition. Some guys are competitive you know.

With Freeman and Prowler backed up there's an unfilled need in the market. In business it always makes sense to go where the supply is low and the demand high. Looks like a smart move to me. Inv has always been top notch so I would expect this project to be awesome as well.

I can't wait till the first week of June to actually ride this beast... but honestly it is going to be hard for me to switch from my 42 invincible, which by far is the best boat I have ever owned.....
so they didnt let you see anything else?

Freeman should have some serious competition from invincible. In my opinion no other cat even comes close to Freeman in performance and looks at the present time. It's going to be like the old Yellowfin days here on the hull truth again. Let the cat wars begin.

The Compmillenia's 39 is the state of the art in big fast fishing cats, imo.

Agreed on the performance, but I think the Freeman has better lines (which is obviously an entirely subjective thing), and Compmillenia doesn't build many boats yet so hard to make the comparison..
