That sounds much better than my explanation. Lol.

The brand of radio does not matter. it will transmit over NMEA 2000 or NMEA 083, whichever your chart plotter uses.

Anyone know of any deals on a vhf? My buddy’s boat just got burglarized. They grabbed all of his electronics.

He’s going to need a new autopilot too. The stolen one was a Garmin. I’d appreciate it if you guys kept your eyes and ears open.

Simrad RS35 Fixed-Mount VHF Radio with AIS, NMEA 2000 $ 171.99

This was posted earlier this week. VHF. https://www.defender.com/product.jsp...355&id=5383844

Are the Penn Squall Lever Drag 2-Speed Trolling Fishing Reel 30VSw "great" reals for the price. How do they compare to the old senators? I have about 6-7 of the old (20+ yr old) senators red (high speed)

P.S. I love and hate this thread. LOL

The new Squalls are far superior to those old Senators. Night and day. They have the same gearing as the Internationals. At $159 they are a steal.

Such a great deal, but I can't justify buying any more trolling gear.

Now if only the Fathom Star Drag would go on sale.
