Default Seacraft 20 too far gone??

Hey guys, looking for some advice. I'm looking at a '69 20' seacraft. I understand it's old and I am not paying much but is this boat just too far gone? I've always heard these are tough boats but is this amount of cracking normal for a potter hull? Or was this one just beat to death? Looks like she's ready for a complete overhaul and I don't have the money for that

Never to far gone for an old SeaCraft but that one needs a transom.

If you don't want to take on that job I would pass.

Very desirable hull though. I have one that just started a full rebuild.

They are great hulls....I've got a buddy with a '68 dual console...partially restored....it's a load of fun.

That one - however - may need a transom.

Any idea on what replacing a transom would cost?

Way way too much. Just give me your contact info and I will come pick it up for you and properly dispose of it.

Seriously though, if you are not prepared to do most of the work yourself that project would be a huge money pit that you will never get out of.

Minimum 3K for a transom replacement at a decent shop.

Maybe if you live in Mexico or your dad owns a fiberglass restoration shop.
