Default Haven't logged on in 7 years - Boating Question

HEY!

I haven't logged on to THT in 7 years (no lie). Amazed I still had my password on an old laptop computer.

Hope everyone is well.

Oh yeah, boating question: Just what is the purpose of a scupper?

Simply put, scuppers allow water to drain off of a boat.

When you are the site founder/prior owner and mod all in one it doesn't take long.

Wow, there's a pleasant flash from the past.
For a while there we thought Columbus was mistaken, the earth truly was flat and you had fallen off the edge.
Good to see ya back, Wiley.

...a scupper is the girlfriend of the skipper...right?

Hey Wiley !!!!

The scupper is the hard metal fitting that fits the hole someone makes in the fiberglass so that the fiberglass slicone and rubber seal is protected, and it also serves as a standard hose fitting.

7 years of not being here is a surprise.

I know how much time and effort you put into this amazing site. I always figured you were still behind the scenes.

Best wishes.
