Those are the perfect engines for a big boat like that. No replacement for the V8 in that application IMHO

Has anyone powered a Prowler 36 so that it will cruise in the mid forties? If so that also would be enough deck space for me. Almost seems like the chaise would be more protected facing rear and bounce less and be less noisy for talking if placed behind the lp instead of in front of the console.

I don't think it's that fast. high 60s, maybe 70 from what other owners say

The one I fished on before had f300s and I thought it ran really well. Looking forward to the 350s. I know they've got some ass, should be fun.

That's the one from Goose Hummock very nice and it flies. Watched it walk away from a 35 seahunter with 300Vrods couple years ago! Enjoy

Ran the 39st this weekend on a little shakedown. You never know with a used boat, but everything seemed to work. Engines ran great.

First impressions- the boat is MUCH smaller than the 42 Prowler, feels like half the size really. It's also surprisingly heavy, must be a lot of glass. Not a bad thing. I think it a great looking boat-never wou;d've chosen all black but it looks like a hot rod. I don't care for the particular leaning post I have and will look into changing it.

The boat absolutely rolls out with trip 350s. With 7 people and half fuel it ran up to right at 70 before I pulled it back--no windshield, light drizzle and the canal gets narrow at that speed! I don't see why it shouldn't get into the low 70s light. More importantly though is the cruise speed is fast. 4500rpm was 51-52, and at 4900 she runs 56-57. It looks to get 1.1 at almost all speeds from 6-50, and then it drops off from there. I think if you feather the throttles at 38 it might show 1.3, but realistically I'm expecting .9 with a fishing load.

Really nice sea chest system on this boat that works well. Ttop is nice and constructed well. More stress cracks in the glass than I care for, but they say thats a Contender trade mark. I like the smaller beam on the trailer, much easier to deal with. All in all-it's going to be a fun boat to fish,
