Hello,
On my last leg with this issue. I recently purchase an albemarle 265 express with a 496 mercruiser HO with Bravo III.
My first run with it about 10 minutes into 4200rpm the engine alarm sounded and merc went into guardian mode. Did this a few times. It has 2 gas tanks. Runs off one water separator.
Finally isolated the tanks. Runs perfect on the starboard tank no alarms or any power issues. When I turn the starboard tank off and switch to the port the engine goes into hairdo an mode. (Brings engine Down to a "limp mode"). I can turn the boat off and take off again but eventually alarm sounds.
Currently I have :
Changed anti siphon
Changed fuel line
Pulled and inspected pick up tube (no issues)
Checked vent by blowing into from transom. (No blocking)
Cleaned most fittings.
I'm at a loss of things to check that would cause this issue.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

UPDATE:
After everything it turned out to be the cool fuel module and water pump(along with sensor)
Just a coincidence about the tanks.
after replacing these there is a night and day difference on performance.
Thanks for everyones input
