Default Prowler 25

You will love that boat. I lived in Wilmington NC and had one. Stupidly sold it when gas got to $4 and looked to go nowhere but up.

I have a McKeeCraft 24 with twin 150 Suzukis now. Great boat.....but it ain't a Prowler.

And now living in Corpus Christi since December. Gotta learn all the places.

Just curious...why not the Suzuki DF200s? Not that you'll need them. Mine had 150 HPDIs and was right at 50 mph.

So I have the same boat with 175 Suzuki's that i bought 9 years ago I think. You will love it. It will be the best boat you have owned and good access to everything that can break

My understanding is the Suzuki 175s hits the sweet spot for this hull. Keith had Yamaha 200's and did not see significant increase in performance.

Plus my budget is maxed out.

Have not seen a build on one of these in a long time. Wonder if they have changed anything over the years. I was very close buying a used one at one point. What is ball park price on a 25 nowadays? 120K?

The 175s are plenty of power and have been fine for me. I would highly recommend the dive extension if you are going to dive at all. It is really nice to be far from the props.
I ran mine down to the keys yesterday about an 80 mile run.

Loved mine. Stupidly sold it, too. Couldn't find another one, so now I have a 27' ProKat. Nice boat, but still prefer the Prowler over anything.

Congratulations on your build. In the last 3 months I've made 2 runs to the Dry Tortugas in mine along with a lot of local hops and I'm very happy to have it. Great choice of color.

The Suzuki 175s are a good choice. They have given me good service so far with about 700 hours total. I've put about 150 of those hours on her in a year. The only issue with motors so far have been Idle Air Control Valves that went bad. Repaired myself. Seem to be a common problem with the zukes. You may want to look in to if this has been remedied with the newer motors. Seems somewhere I read that some of the new zukes no longer have the Idle Air Control Valves at all.

The website lists the length at 26' 2" - have they lengthened the hull?
