The only CH24 I have ever sea trialed was a new 2013 with a single 300. I did not like the ride at all, had to run the tabs constantly.

Recently, when I did research on a 2003 CH24 that needed repowered, I read about a bunch of torque related issues with big singles and porpoising issues with twin four strokes.

I called CH (~2months ago), they were very friendly and told me to repower with twin four stroke 150s, wedges (due to transom angle of that era), and cobra jet(s) (i'm not even sure what a cobra jet is...).

Awesome! I came real close to buying that boat.

My plan was going to be to go with the new Merc 300 V8 (non Verado) for a repower, not that it really needed a repower to begin with.
