Default My Verado, painted white (Pics)

I had been wanting to have my motor cowlings painted white for years now, ever since I saw my first white Verado. I finally took the cowlings to my local autobody shop (where I have now had 4 vehicles repaired over the past 6 years as I'm a magnet for idiot-drivers), and while they took over 2 weeks to get the job done, I'm happy as the motor looks awesome.

The color is Toyota Super White and it matches my gelcoat almost perfectly. I like having a clear coat now and am going to love seeing the motor covered with salt spray and not seeing it. I'm sure that the cooler temps inside the motor won't hurt either.

Derigthe motor and pull those front chaps off to match. Takes like 5 minutes. Harness fuel line 2 battery cable. I had mine reshot. Nobody ever remember to pull that too. Also go get new white bolts for midsection or bring them to a local powdercoater

Looks good! Don't know if I'd leave the lower unit black though, but that's just me.

Also any plans to put the other decals on, or are you just leaving it with the "300" one?

Looks great. For the cost of decals, you can add 100 horsepower with a set of 400R decals.

Hmmmm, I'm thinking about taking the black middle off but it is textured plastic. I suppose the shop can sand it out a bit or even just shoot it white the way it is.

I also thought about the bolts for the chaps and getting them done in white.

I'm lucky as I have today off and towed the boat to my Dad's, where the boat spends the summers, and she is back on the dock now. It is windy today but we have Saturday, Sunday and Monday with the promise of nice weather and High Pressure will be over us so I can get out and enjoy.

I thought about the 400R as I think that the graphic actually looks good, just that I'd have the show but no-go.

The only other badge/decal I've given any thought to adding back is a chrome SuperCharged badge, to put where the original black, red and silver SuperCharged-decal that Mercury had put on the backs of the 2005-2007 Verado's. Otherwise, I like it plain.

Ha, I'm gonna have to check my bumper sticker collection to see if I have enough to make some teeth as I know I have something for eyes. The black part does lend itself perfectly for a mouth, for that P-51 Tigershark-look.

I need to paint the skirts on my Hondas. Since i have to break them down, I wonder how white would look on them?

The nice thing about paint is that if you don't like the color, it is easy to just have them resprayed.

I will like the white a lot better as once saltwater would dry on the covers, it wouldn't look all that nice. Now with white, I won't be able to tell.

Git er dun triumphrick!
