Smile How much Gas does your boat hold?

I thought my boat held a good bit until I looked at some of the post on your boats.
I kinda see why my boat is an inshore boat even though it has a lotta offshore qualities of offshore boats.
About how many miles or hours can you run on a fill up?

I have a 25' 11" boat ( it's actually 27' 11" with the bow pulpit we added).
The Armstrong bracket makes it a little longer (30").

At some point, you are burning fuel to carry fuel.

I have 326 gallons in one tank, right down the middle of the keel.

I have ran this boat offshore 100+ miles on multiple occasions.

When full with fishing gear, Ice and the whole deal and 4 winders, I run at 1.6 or 1.7 mpg at 36 on nice day's.

After burning some fuel off, I see around 2.0 and more when we get back closer to shore.

I have posted some screen shots here of 2.4 @ 36mph on the way in.

The thing that really sucks is filling it back up.

Boat builder's build boats with lots of fancy stuff that's nice, but it limits fuel capacity and takes up fuel space.

I would think most long haul fisherman would give up a little below deck space and replace it with capacity?

My 20.5ft hydra sports center console holds 85 gallons. One of the bigger tanks I have seen on a boat that size.

25' Rampone 125gal with single Merc 250 Opti Proxs. At 3mpg cruise that gives me over 300miles with lots in reserve. More than I will ever use. Split between 3 tanks.
