I have had my 206 for about a month now and love. Previously had a Key West 176 Bay Reef and before that a Pioneer SF197. In my opinion this boat rides better then the Pioneer. I know that's going to make some of the Pioneer people upset but that's just my opinion. Boat is equipped with a Yamaha F150, Power Pole on a bracket, Garmin 702, saltwater wash-down. I elected to go with a bimini top for now but that may change. I would like to thank Lucky Dutch for all his posts, very informative.

I am ordering the 24 Cayman and have been told that the trim tab option includes 3-4" tabs and not the larger ones. Does anyone have experience with this? Would the larger tabs interfere with the stern ladder?

My boat came with Lenco 6X12 tabs. I had a custom swim platform boarding ladder so no issue with interference from the tabs. If you are getting in and out of the boat often, as in snorkeling or diving I highly recommend having one built similar to mine. The custom platform is much stronger and wider than any off the shelf units.

How do the smaller tabs work? Are they sufficient?

I miss spoke here. After Fishrsafe posted I went down and measured my tabs. I assumed they were stock, but mine are 6x12" also. That is the reason for the pinch point with the OEM ladder.

I really do not have the hours on them. They work, but can't make that call yet...

Fishrsafe got cover yet?

Yes, I changed props. Went with a Power Tech OFS 4 15X17 4 blade SS model. Allows me to run the engine higher on the jack plate without getting blowout in sharp turns.

Still waiting for UPS to bring my cover, supposed to be on the truck per the tracking #

M,

The cover was just delivered, will try it out tomorrow after a day on the water.

Prop info, hole shot was improved and top end is the same as the stock Yamaha 15 1/4X19 SWS 11 SDS prop that came with the boat. WOT I am seeing 5600 rooms and 53mph. Best overall performance is with the jack plate lifted between 2.5" and 3".

At 3500 rpms cruise speed is 30mph, burning 8.5gph getting 3.5mpg. Hope that helps.

Great info. Can't wait to compare. Is 53 MPH WOT with full gas and only 1 person and limited gear. Gees it looks like there is a new prop in my future. Going to have to come out of retirement...

Still dont understand on a boat that big and that nice why the dash isnt big enough to flush mount 2 big MFD's. Most people want the option of 2 MFD.The way the dash is set up you cant do it from the pics. The boat has a 9 foot beam. They cant make the dash big enough for a bigger MFD? Just something I think they could improve on.

Wonder why they dont reccess the trim tabs? Everything on the boat is great except console dash space and no reccessed trim tabs. Gives the boat a much cleaner look with reccessed tabs. They have the cut out sections on the stern already. Looks like Robablo is doing great. All these mid to upper tier bayboats keep improving and are doing very well.

OMG- I just turned on the UW LED lights. They are blue/white switchable. VERY NICE !! Also the spreader lights are nice, and the surprise is the blue LED deck lights, did not know about them. The switch is either Live wells or deck lights which needs to be fixed so you can use both... No photos figured you guys already knew about all that stuff.
