Anybody that needs to change out that VST outlet filter needs to get a pair of auto trim removal pliers, it makes the job a snap. Replace the factory hose length as well, with some modern 5/16 fuel injector hose like Gates Greenline, that's ethanol compatible. Make sure you use the high pressure rated fuel injector hose, not standard rated fuel line hose. The ABA stainless #13 fuel injector clamps you see on Amazon are Swedish steel and overkill for the Yamaha motors and work great.
