Wow that is great for all involved. I can only imagine with the resources at their disposal this will mean more great things for Bly Riggers.

Will the name stick or will they become Gem riggers?

Bly Riggers will be on boats for many years to come. The brand is excellent and we want it to last forever. Jay and his wife Marge have done an amazing job with this company. This is really a "Dream Come True" for them and for the entire crew at GEM. They built By from scratch and they are very excited, very involved with GEM now, and very motivated by our mutual future success!

In fact, Jay has been in our warehouse with our engineers and staff building riggers all week and will be here doing such for quite some time. As you might imagine, we have a lot of ideas for the future!

Default Thanks all on THT who helped Blyriggers become what it did.

Blyriggger is what it is because of THT members. The 30 degree bend. Who would have thought I could have sold a couple hundred of them from something we took a vote on THT in a thread about the best angle for the average center console portable center rigger to stop Way Way Back terror. . King Fish outriggers? What a stupid name. Even I know, Kingfish guys do not use outriggers catching king fish. You do not want to know how many of them I have built. The 20 ft Three and a half pound outrigger. No one has been able to come close. Don't even try to guess how many are out there. I built that first set for my project boat. The boat I never finished thats probably 95% finished. Not to start a business. Honestly.

Thanks Gem for not changing the pass word yet. I tried to reply to this post with my new Lap top and my new THT name. It would not let me.

Anyone not in the know of Gem. Wow what a company. The top most Innovative stainless hardware company out there. The friction hinge makes so much sense. And many other great products that have no equal.

I was on my way north from south florida after showing some very Innovative new outriggers to some Boat builders. .I have known matt for about 4 years of selling him my outriggers. Matt asked me stop by his new home on the way north. He also asked us to tour his building in Orange park sunday morning, He is a part of all his products. He started explaining the products like they were each one of his children.
I had three other offers on my business this year. I had No intention of selling Blyriggers. But,
Matt and Gem made so much sense to combine Blyriggers with. His attention to quality is unmatched in the stainless hardware business. I could not run Blyriggers properly and do what I wanted to do for Blyriggers with out a major transformation. Sales were not the problem. Growing pains. Blyriggers is the largest after market carbon fiber outrigger company out there. Yes it is. No exaggeration. I had a tiger by the tail. Now with Gem. Blyriggers will take the needed steps to run properly and grow properly. Thanks matt and Gem. I think if Matt did not come along. The tiger would have bit me.

I gave up my phone number. Yes 609-335-2149 is now part of Blyriggers and Gem The jsbligh@gmail.com Yes my Blyrigger name is not mine anymore. I snuck in tonight. I am still and always will be a part of Blyriggers.

three of the five in-house engineers are working on Blyrigger related products. Me and engineers. Like oil and fire. Just THT sarcasm. I am lovin it. A sales staff, a shipping department. OMG I am in heaven.

Thanks again all on THT who were a part of Blyriggers becoming what it has. And Gem for the next step.
I am still a part of it for at least 7 years. I was throwing so many Innovative Ideas at matt when he came back to see me this afternoon in my skunk works section of his building that I took over. . I think I sent him back with his head spinning. But smiling. Its what I like doing best. Innovating with carbon fiber.

The Hull Truth is the top forum. Thanks for for the opportunity that you all afforded me. Jay
