So many different styles of tubes for different styles of riding and for different size kids. They all get holes; we patch em if we can (usually if not on a seam) and are out on them again in a few hours.

We have had fun recently with Airhead Vipers (sit in tubes with inflatable floors) and Gladiator two-person (70"?) flat towable tubes (we call it the "laydown" tube). Very different rides and very different experiences for the riders and the driver. Other friends enjoy the "big mable" tubes.....so many choices......

It may or may not be available this year, but last year I bought a big green round flat Airhead tube for, I think, $150 at a local store (Dick's, maybe). It's a "three rider" model, which means two big adults with no problem. It's tough, and it does the job. Watch the capacity ratings—they're usually low for the number of riders unless you're strictly talking average-weight kids. Make sure you get one with heavy fabric fully covering both sides, and keep it out of the sun when not in use. Rinse chlorinated water off if used in it. Both will weaken the straps over time.

That is what we use. I use the trailer eyes off the stern and recently upgraded to one of those inflated balls b/w the boat and the tube that is suppose to lift the rope out of the water (kids were getting nothing but spray)

How many horses does your boat have? I ask this because certain tube shapes plow at low speed and can be hard to get planing.

I've got a 250 hp. What about a portable 12 volt inflator, any favorites. Thanks again.

Another vote for the Big Mabel. Big enough w/out being too big.

I have a two person O'Brian tube which I tow with my waverunner. This it was around $150. Can fit two adults and I am into my second seas with it, no rips or holes. In fact it holds air quite well.
