Default Quad 557 Seven Marine Question

I saw this boat headed down federal highway this weekend. I'm familiar with the boat, it's the Midnight Express "Ulysee Nardin" 43' Open....but my question is....why no prop and shafts on the other motors? I know they had just run it because it just left the ramp. Are the shafts easy to remove at the ramp? or was their possibly an uh-oh? I wouldn't think an impact because the LU's are pristine.

Anyway here's the pic of my Monday question of the day.

Maybe testing the boat with the two motors? If you are going to take two off, wouldn't you take all 4?

No clue. Playing THT investigator, zooming in on the port engine lower unit appears to show damage to the trailing edge of the skeg and a piece of shaft appears to be in the bearing carrier. Based on that, I would say they sheared the shafts but I am just making that up.

No clue.

I would guess they broke the outside propshafts off. It almost looks like both of the skegs have dings right where the props would hit them if spun off. Just a guess though.

I didn't think about that but a 2 engine test could be very possible

I highly doubt they run it like that? Why would they remove shafts for a twin engine test? Just take off the props.....

Those outside motors are put under a lot of stress and are constantly breaking loose going in and out of the water being so far out. I would say they broke the prop shafts.

Yeah no kidding. I believe the boat is 12'6"

I didn't realize how wide it really was until I went to pass it and had to creep into the left lane.

They had another truck following it pulling another big trailer I guess he was just staying close to keep people from following right behind it.
