Jassman, are you not going with a 39 w/ quads?

If you are looking for a 22, there is a carbon fiber 22' cat for sale in California.

http://www.ussclb.org/2005-kernan-22-carbon-power-cat/

It is this design:

http://kernanyd.com/project/22-powercat/

I really know nothing else about it, although it looks pretty nice. Carbon fiber, asymmetrical rounded sponsons (wasn't Jim's 22 the same?), carbon hard top. I almost took a chance on it and had it shipped to Florida but the wife says it's too small. There is a chance it would be an awesome hull, especially if re-powered with some Merc 115s or something similar.

Jassman for some reason I thought you were getting or had a 39, what are you considering?

Word on the street is Prowler will be releasing a 29X10, but it is probably 2 years out.

maybe....basically I want to find a hull that can fish around the islands, have a trolling motor on the bow and then I can run to the floaters and fish out there.

Technically you can fish for specks/reds from any boat but dropping anchor is a PITA especially when you want to fish a shore line. I am not going back in the marsh, so low draft depth isn't an issue, and we have 3 feet of depth in the canal at the camp.

I really want to avoid having to sell my boat and buy two boat, because the larger boat wouldn't be used as much at that point.

I wonder how high the bow would be, I saw someone had a calcutta 26 footer or so with a trolling motor. That may fit the bill, I need to find the thread to see how the cruise #'s look, because it only seems to hold 126 gallons or so.

the cape fear 22 with a single 200 for $63k is a deal. No euro transom and a 9' beam makes this the larges 22 around. 42 mph with the 150 hp merc.

That market is where I am at right now. I need a boat that can fish specks around the island with a trolling motor but also get out there and fish the floaters.

I saw the one in St.Pete, I can keep what I have and buy a 32 footer for that price.

Isn't the bare hull like 50-60k new?

Hey Midcap, if looking for a boat that can do inshore and offshore, have you looked at our 235?

This pic is the same boat, different days.

Jim, your boats continue to impress. I really want to ride the next one before it gets out of the areA.

What did they do with that YF once they caught it? Does the 235 have a fish box that's 5ft long?

Michael could correct me, but I believe that particular customer got custom fish boxes. However, the 5 tuna on the deck would fit in the standard boxes. Hybrid can be pretty abstract in terms of capabilities. That pic sums up what the 235 is all about.

thanks for the post, I just remember I think I commented on your boat in the past. I am glad to see you are all still building them.
